ATP synthase is one of biology’s genuinely rotary machines: protons flowing across a membrane spin a rotor, and that spin drives the synthesis of ATP — the energy currency almost everything else in the cell spends. This animation follows the rotation in a stylized, textbook-leaning look rather than a strict structural render.
